I've been so slacking this few days and haven't updated the blog for more than a week (so much for consistent blogging resolution last month lol). I have so many items to review this coming days, but I am just a lazy ass person recently. But then again, I am a lazy person to begin with. :P
Enough ranting, let's go to the review. I've been wanting to review the Innisfree Green Tea Kit that I got a few weeks ago since forever. The kit that I received is a limited edition Green Tea based skincare line consisting of:
- The Green Tea Seed Serum
- Green Tea Balancing Skin (Toner)
- Green Tea Balancing Lotion (Moisturizer)
- Green Tea Balancing Cream
The green tea extract used in all Innisfree products are extracted from green tea that's harvested from Jeju Island, which is prized for their antioxidant properties. The Balancing line (for combination skin) also contain marshmallow extract (not that marshmallow candy, lol, the plant!) that helps combination skin to control their oil-moisture balance. Overall, the green tea line focuses to hydrate, smoothen and nourishes the skin.
The LINE Friends edition kit apparently was not for purchase (I got mine as a prize from a contest organized by Pavilion KL and Innisfree). All four items are travel sized and have a character from the famous NAVER LINE Chat Apps. Therefore I'm going to just review the content although the packaging is cute to the boot!
First, the Green Tea Seed Serum. This Serum is one of Innisfree's bestsellers and it is supposed to maintain and boost the hydration level of the skin. It has a nice citrus-green tea smell which is very refreshing, but I know some people does not like any fragrance in their skincare and makeup products. This serum is not as hydrating as the Neogence one, but works nicely with my normal skin. It absorbs into the skin with no sticky residue.

Next, the Green Tea Balancing Skin. I actually had to google what does this product do to make sure. My hunch is that it's a toner, but the consistency is slightly thicker than the usual toner on the market that's more watery. It has the same citrusy-green tea-ish smell albeit stronger. It removes residual makeup well and leaves your skin hydrated and smell nice as well.

The third one is the Green Tea Balancing Lotion, which is a light moisturizer. This lotion is perfect to be used before makeup as it controls your sebum production but still keeping your skin supple. It has the same scent as the toner (and as strong). It absorbs to the skin quickly and does not feel sticky afterwards. My skin was a little bit suppler which aided makeup application.

The last product in the kit is the Green Tea Balancing Cream, which is a heavier moisturizer than the lotion. It contains cocoa butter that acts as an emollient to add a layer of hydration to the skin. This cream in my opinion is more suitable to be used at night, as it does not sit well with makeup. The smell is slightly less strong than the toner and the lotion, but it is still the same citrus-green tea smell. It absorbs well, but leave behind a greasier feel than the lotion.

Overall, I really recommend Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Set if your skin is in the normal-combination range as it will control oil but still hydrates your skin. I feel that it is quite hard for me to get a moisturizer or hydrating serum that suits normal skin and will not leave you like a greaseball at the end of the day, but the Innisfree Green Tea line did just that.
XOXO
